Professor Tony Walker

Professor Tony Walker is a Professor of Cell Biology at Kingston University, with a career spanning over two decades in teaching and research. After earning his PhD from the University of Bristol in 1996, he held postdoctoral positions at Durham and Manchester before joining Kingston in 1999. His research focuses on the cell biology of schistosomes, parasites responsible for the neglected tropical disease schistosomiasis. He leads an active lab and contributes to several bioscience programmes. As a scientific advisor to SafeOnlineHealth.org, he supports the platform by providing expert insights into infectious diseases and public health. His work helps bridge academic science and accessible health education.
